Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti ’81
Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti ’81 has joined HNTB as a national practice consultant and senior vice president. Prior to this role, she was the chief of staff to the Governor of New Jersey. Gutierrez-Scaccetti also received the 2026 Sharon D. Banks Award for Humanitarian Leadership in Transportation from the Transportation Research Board.

Daniel Lin ’09 received the Pasifika Award at the Hawai’i International Film Festival as the director of “Remathau: People of the Ocean”.

David Steuber ’08 (CLAS), ’21 MSBAPM will become the executive director of the Hartford Capital Region Development Authority on October 31, 2025. Steuber is currently chief of staff and director of strategic initiatives for the Department of Economic & Community Development.

Robert Arena ’94 MBA has been appointed president of USAA’s life insurance subsidiary. Prior to this new role, Arena was the co-president of Global Atlantic Financial Group.
Rob Sladen ’15 MBA
Rob Sladen ’15 MBA has been highlighted by Q104.5 in the “CEOs You Should Know Charleston SC” series. Sladen is the CEO and co-founder of Zulu Pods, an aerospace and defense startup company.
Rodrick Shiver ’11 MBA
Rodrick Shiver ’11 MBA has been elected as vice chair of Columbia College’s Board of Trustees for the 2025-2026 term. Shiver is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Shiver Certified Public Accountants and has prior experience as a manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Gregg Schuster ’05 MBA
Gregg Schuster ’05 MBA has been named the new municipal manager for Upper Makefield Township. Schuster has over 15 years of experience and previously served as a township manager for Warminster and Pocono Townships.

Klarn DePalma ’92 was inducted into the Connecticut Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame. DePalma is the senior vice president of Group Sales & Sponsorships for Nexstar Media Group.
