Alumni Conversations: The Future is Fintech

David Francione, Managing Director, Capstone Headwaters, has over 24 years of experience as an investment banker, corporate development executive and management consultant. Previously, David served as Senior Vice President at Silverwood Partners, a global investment banking firm. Prior to joining Silverwood Partners, He was head of corporate development for Elcom International, Inc., a $500 million international publicly-traded eCommerce technology platform company. David began his career with SS&C Technologies (Nasdaq: SSNC), a global Fintech leader in investment software and analytics, and then joined the investment banking group at Advest, Inc. (acquired by Merrill Lynch), where he focused on public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, private financings and valuations for financial services, technology and consumer products companies.

Muriel Petri joined in 2019 bringing more than 30 years of experience marketing financial services and insurance products. She helps clients define, develop and deliver their messages to the marketplace through strategic planning and execution. Muriel has been at the helm of Petri Consulting Group since opening its doors in 1998, working extensively with major financial services firms, distributors and Insurtech startups. Muriel previously served as Vice President of Marketing at MetLife Brokerage where she led her team in the marketing of insurance and annuity products to independent producers. She began her career at Equitable Life in the Advanced Sales department and became Director of Life Insurance & Small Business Marketing. Focusing in two key areas – marketing and in-depth product knowledge, Muriel uses this unique combination to translate a client’s business goals into effective marketing solutions.

Paul Tyler serves as Chief Marketing Officer for Nassau where he leads the marketing strategy, direct-to-consumer channel and innovation activity. Paul drives the branding of the insurance companies and affiliated asset management companies. He built a direct-to-consumer channel for Nassau Re. In addition, he launched Nassau Re/Imagine, an Insurtech-focused incubator based in Hartford. Prior to his role at Nassau Financial Group, he worked at Fidelity & Guaranty Life, MetLife in a variety of roles in strategy, marketing, operations, technology, sales, and compliance. He earned his A.B. from Princeton University and his J.D. from Cornell Law School.
