Daniel Lin ’09 received the Pasifika Award at the Hawai’i International Film Festival as the director of “Remathau: People of the Ocean”.

Robert Arena ’94 MBA has been appointed president of USAA’s life insurance subsidiary. Prior to this new role, Arena was the co-president of Global Atlantic Financial Group.

Rob Sladen ’15 MBA has been highlighted by Q104.5 in the “CEOs You Should Know Charleston SC” series. Sladen is the CEO and co-founder of Zulu Pods, an aerospace and defense startup company.

Rodrick Shiver ’11 MBA has been elected as vice chair of Columbia College’s Board of Trustees for the 2025-2026 term. Shiver is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Shiver Certified Public Accountants and has prior experience as a manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Gregg Schuster ’05 MBA has been named the new municipal manager for Upper Makefield Township. Schuster has over 15 years of experience and previously served as a township manager for Warminster and Pocono Townships.

Klarn DePalma ’92 was inducted into the Connecticut Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame. DePalma is the senior vice president of Group Sales & Sponsorships for Nexstar Media Group.

Chun Lai ’92 MBA was awarded CIO Leadership Recognition from the AlphaEdge Recognition Awards which recognizes leaders in the investment management industry for their thought leadership, innovation, and achievements in alpha generation across various asset classes. Lai is currently the chief investment officer of the Rockefeller Foundation, where he oversees the management of the Foundation’s $6 billion endowment.

Vivian Pereda ’12 has been named to the Harford Business Journal’s 2025 40 Under Forty list. Pereda currently works as the director of CampusCare Operations at Hartford HealthCare and oversees student health, counseling and sports medicine services for seven college campuses in Connecticut.
