Annette Pavone ’02 MSA controller for the Connecticut State College & University (CSCU) System Office in Hartford, CT. Prior to this role, Pavone worked at UConn for 18 years in the Accounting Office as a lead accountant.

Kurt Heinemann ’04 MBA joins DoiT as vice president of marketing. Previously, Heinemann led global marketing teams at Datasaur, Ably, Big Health, and Cockroach Labs.

Andrew Hersom ’99 MBA joined Eastern Bank as Senior Vice President, Head of Investor Relations. Prior to joining Eastern Bank, Hersom worked for Argo Group International Holdings as head of investor relations, responsible for interfacing with the investment community.

Michael Derrig ’04, ’13 MBA has been appointed vice president, chief underwriter for the Individual Life Division for Symetra Life Insurance Company. Prior to this role, Derrig served as director and chief underwriter at Equitable.

Michael O’Connor ’12 MBA has been named executive director of the Connecticut Port Authority. Prior to this role, O’Connor had recently retired as vice president of Dominion Energy’s Millstone Power Station in Waterford, CT.

Robert Silverman ’05 MBA has been promoted to regional vice president for the Westchester region at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices. Silverman will continue overseeing the Rye, NY office while driving the company’s growth and influence throughout the area.

Morgan Tuck ’16 has been promoted to general manager of the Connecticut Sun. While at UConn, Tuck led the huskies to four consecutive NCAA championships and was drafted third overall by the Sun in the 2016 WNBA Draft. After retiring from the WNBA professionally, Tuck rejoined Connecticut Sun in 2021 as director of franchise development and was quickly promoted to assistant general manager in 2022.

Mary Jane Fortin ’96 has been appointed chief financial officer at MassMutual, effective January 1, 2025. Prior to this role, Fortin served as president and chief commercial officer at Thrivent Financial. Fortin is also a member of the UConn School of Business Dean’s Advisory Cabinet, as well as a member of the School’s Alumni Hall of Fame.
