Jim Clark is a Partner with Sound Shore Management, Inc., where he is also a member of the firm’s four-person investment Committee.  Sound Shore is a focused and independent value equity investment firm founded in 1978, with $6 billion AUM.  At Sound Shore, Jim’s primary zones of investment responsibility include the energy, utilities, materials, and industrials sectors.  Jim joined Sound Shore in 2004 from Credit Suisse First Boston, where he was a Managing Director and Head of US Equity Research (2000-2004).  Previously at CSFB, he was the Integrated Oils and Refiners analyst and head of global energy research (1989-2000).  As a CSFB energy analyst, Jim was selected by Institutional Investor Magazine to 14 All-American Research Teams and also was named by the Wall Street Journal to its Hall of Fame for stock picking and earnings accuracy.  Jim holds a BA from Williams College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
