Katherine Pancak is Professor In-Residence of Finance and Real Estate at the University of Connecticut at Stamford. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in finance and real estate, including Financial Management, Personal Finance, and Real Estate Principles.
In addition to teaching, Professor Pancak conducts research on real estate law topics and has been published in a variety of real estate journals, including Real Estate Economics, the Journal of Portfolio Management, and the Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics. She is also the author of the widely used textbook entitled “Connecticut Real Estate: Law and Practice” and has developed instructional and policy material for the Connecticut real estate industry.
Professor Pancak has been recognized for her teaching and research, including being named National Educator of the Year by the Real Estate Educators Association and one of the Top 100 Most Influential Real Estate Leaders by Inman News, and receiving the University of Connecticut Real Estate Center Award for Excellence and Outstanding Contribution to Real Estate Research.
Professor Pancak received her undergraduate degree in Economics from Mount Holyoke College, and her law degree from Boston College Law School. Prior to joining the University faculty, she was a practicing corporate real estate attorney.
