Dan Krenicki ’78 has been in the Banking / Finance Industry since his undergraduate days at UCONN. His initial experience was in Retail Banking with Connecticut Bank & Trust in the New Canaan, CT office and other Fairfield County branches. Dan leveraged his schooling and early banking experiences to earn a spot in CBT’s Corporate and Commercial Lending Training Program. Dan expanded his Lending experience at Xerox Credit Corporation and earned his MBA in Finance (UB ’87) before moving to Citibank where he has enjoyed a 32+ year career in Equipment Finance & Leasing and Commercial Lending. Dan’s expertise was developed in credit initiation, portfolio management, remedial management, credit systems, risk management, controls and compliance. Dan served in various management and leadership roles in various Business segments including Vendor Programs Finance, Dealer Finance, Business Technology Finance and all segments of the Commercial Bank including Business Banking, Middle Market and Global & National Industries. He has also served as a guest reviewer for the Global Commercial Bank’s Internal Audit Division. Over his Citi career, Dan was recognized for participating in Citi’s Global Commercial Credit College as a Mentor and Senior Credit Officer Panelist.

His current role is as a Product Developer in Institutional Credit Management. Dan has spent his time serving on the Board of Directors as Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee of Malta House, Inc.. Malta House, a non-profit based in Norwalk, CT, provides homeless pregnant and parenting women and their children with a stable and secure environment, as well as services and opportunities to foster self-reliance, enhance self-esteem and build self-confidence.

Dan and his wife Diane reside in Stamford and enjoy following UCONN sports, traveling, the theater and spending time with their children and grandchildren.
