Leon Peschel ‘16 received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the School of Business. At UConn Leon was captain of the Men’s Crew Team, competed on the Moot Court Team, and was a member of the Special Program in Law. He studied abroad at the National University of Singapore in the Spring of 2014. After UConn, Leon started his J.D. at Harvard Law School. During his time at HLS, he worked in the Harvard Negotiation and Mediation Clinical Program, the Federal Tax Center, the Connecticut Attorney General’s Office, and Schulte Roth & Zabel (a law firm best known for its hedge fund work). He graduated from HLS in May 2019 and worked as a tax associate at the law firm Goodwin Procter LLP until 2024. Leon is currently a tax associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP where he focuses his practice on investment funds and M&A transactions. In his free time, Leon enjoys cooking, hiking, photography, and sailing.
