Neema Vaheb ’07, ’07 MSA graduated with honors from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelors of Science and Masters of Science in Accounting. Neema was nominated by the University and ultimately selected for the post-graduate technical assistant program at the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB).While at the FASB, he assisted in the research, development, revisions and drafting of various accounting standards under U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. In 2009, Neema joined PwC’s Transaction Services practice in New York City. Neema is currently a Manager with PwC and specializes in providing technical accounting advice related to Companies’ environmental liabilities and asset retirement obligations under U.S. GAAP, IFRS and Federal Accounting Standards. He also supports clients that are pursuing capital markets transactions, including IPOs, debt offering, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. He supports global clients across many industries (industrial products, mining, energy, utilities, automotive, pharmaceuticals, etc.). He also works with the PwC Advisory practice to help clients address sustainability issues and impacts to financial reporting. Neema has also authored several PwC thought leadership pieces. In his spare time Neema enjoys, traveling, playing sports and watching the UConn Huskies! Neema is a Certified Public Accountant, member of the AICPA, and volunteers for the UConn School of Business Alumni Mentoring Program.</font?
