Robert Becker ’93 MBA has been appointed to the HMS Holdings Corporation Board of Directors. Mr. Becker was the chief executive officer (retired) of Wolters Kluwer Health. Mr. Becker has held several executive positions at companies such as Jupiter-Media Metrix and Thomson Corporation.
Jonathan E. Beyman ’76 has joined the Board of Directors of Polaris Consulting & Services, Ltd. The Board of Directors unanimously felt he would add immense value as Polaris enables the digital transformation of its clients. Mr. Beyman was inducted into the University Of Connecticut School Of Business Hall of Fame in May 2009.
Scott S. Cowen ’68 has been elected to the board of directors at Barnes and Noble. He currently serves as the president of Tulane University in New Orleans. President Cowen also holds the titles of Seymour S. Goodman Memorial Professor of Business in Tulane’s A.B. Freeman School of Business and Professor of Economics in the School of Liberal Arts.
Mark L. Boxer ’87 MBA has joined the Board of Directors at the Grange Insurance Board. Boxer is currently the executive vice president and global chief information officer for Cigna.
Brian J. Kelley ’86 MBA has been appointed to be on the Board of Directors at Alteva. Mr. Kelley is currently the chief executive office at snom Technology, Inc. Mr. Kelley also is a member of the executive board director at snom Technology AG.
James M. Mahoney ’79 has been elected to be the chairman of the Board of Directors for the Hospital for Special Care in New Britian. Mr. Mahoney will also serve as vice chair for Center of Special Care, Inc., it’s parent corporation.

Mahoney ’79 has been elected the new CPA and managing partner of Mahoney Sabol & Company, LLP, and has been appointed to chairman of the Board of Directors for the Hospital for Special Care in New Britain. Mr. Mahoney will also serve as vice chair for Center of Special Care, Inc., its parent corporation.
