Anthony L. Mattacchione ’98 MBA has been appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of AMRI, a global pharmaceutical contract research, development and manufacturing organization that partners with the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.  Mr. Mattacchione has more than 30 years of experience in financial leadership positions with high growth companies across the life sciences tools, biopharmaceutical, chemicals and technology sectors. Before joining AMRI, Mr. Mattacchione spent five years at Bruker Corporation where he most recently served as their chief financial officer.

John P. Budaj ’90 is the Vice President of Information Technology at Fallon Health in Worcester.  Mr. Budaj joined Fallon Health, a nationally recognized, not-for-profit health care services organization, in 2012 as the Senior Director of Medical Economics, Data Management and Reporting.  Prior to joining Fallon, Mr. Budaj was IT Director of Enterprise Data Management and Infrastructure at ConnectiCare, Inc. & Affiliates

Steven R Giacomi ’00, ’08 MBA has officially announced his entry into the race for State Representative for Waterbury’s 73^rd district.  Mr. Giacomi is a lifelong resident of Waterbury.  A business, finance, and economics teacher at Oxford High School, he spent ten years in banking and finance before becoming an educator. He is active in many community and civic organizations, including the Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Waterbury and Literacy Volunteers of Greater Waterbury.

Anthony A. Joyce III ’83 has been promoted to senior Loan Officer and Executive Vice President of Chelsea Groton Bank.  Mr. Joyce joined the Bank in 2014 with over 30 years of experience in lending.  In addition, Mr. Joyce is a Board member of Catholic Charities of Norwich, the Parish Council of St. Peter and Paul, and the Diocese of Norwich Finance Council.

James M. Brown ’85 MBA has been named Director of Marketing at Marywood University.  Mr. Brown is responsible for developing and implementing an integrated marketing and communications plan for the University.  Prior to joining Marywood University, Mr. Brown was the marketing practice lead for GLP Partners, LLC, New York, NY.  During his distinguished career, Mr. Brown has served as vice president of marketing for Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield, Erie Insurance Group, Cigna, MetLife, and Citibank.

Kevin W. Dinnie ’85, ’87 MBA has joined Jetty, a financial services company, as Senior Advisor.  Jetty’s President, Luke Cohler, said “Kevin Dinnie’s decades of managing real estate portfolios for The Blackstone Group, Lehman Brothers, and GE Capital represent an invaluable level of real estate expertise that we’re lucky to have on board.”

Kirk H. Lusk ’93 MBA has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of Heritage Insurance Holdings, Inc.  Mr. Lusk had served as Chief Financial Officer for NBIC since January 2013.  He has over 20 years of finance and insurance experience working as an Underwriter, Controller and Chief Financial Officer.

Michael G. Wheeler ’69 has joined Gateway Financial Partners as an advisor to its local team in Glastonbury, CT.  Mr. Wheeler has been an investment advisor since February 2010 and has worked with numerous and diverse clients, advising them on a wide variety of financial planning, investment management and wealth management consulting assignments.

Tammy L. Rapp ’09 Ph.D.is an Assistant Professor at Ohio University. Dr. Rapp has conducted extensive research in the area of team effectiveness and team leadership. Her research has been published in leading journals, including the Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Leadership Quarterly, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Small Group Research, and Human Performance.
