Jesse Bly ’09 opened The Junkluggers of Silicon Valley, a franchise-based eco-friendly junk hauling and furniture removal franchise founded by Josh Cohen ‘05. Prior to The Junkluggers, Bly worked in commercial real estate finance in New York City.

Amber Moore ’09, ’11 MSA has been named to Forbes‘ inaugural “America’s Best-In-State CPAs” list. Moore is currently a partner at Goldblatt Bokoff in Norwich, CT.

Ashley Martella ’01, 05 MBA has been named by Forbes as a Best-In-State Wealth Advisor in Connecticut for 2025. Martella currently is a managing director-wealth management for Long River Wealth Management, based in Hartford, CT.

Chris Jarvis ’01 MBA has been appointed as the interim chief executive officer and chief financial officer for Eagle Energy Partners. Prior to his new role, he was the executive vice president of finance at Foothills Exploration, Inc.

Nathan Scoggin ’08 MBA has been appointed as the new chief product and strategy officer for Carisk Partners, a specialty risk transfer, care coordination company serving insurers, government entities, self-insured plan sponsors and other managed care organizations. Prior to his new role, Scoggin co-founded Icon Health where he continues to serve as chairman.

Mary Wren ’01 has been promoted to vice president of Hotel Operations for Mohegan Sun. Wren began her career at Mohegan Sun in 2002 as a member of its first hotel team, and now as VP of Hotel Operations, she oversees hotel operations and leads strategic planning for the overall hotel team.

Christopher Calio ’00 JD/MBA, president and CEO of RTX, has been elected as the aerospace and defense company’s chairman of the board of directors.

Annette Pavone ’02 MSA has been named controller for the Connecticut State College & University (CSCU) System Office in Hartford, CT. Prior to this role, Pavone worked at UConn for 18 years in the Accounting Office as a lead accountant.

Kurt Heinemann ’04 MBA joins DoiT as vice president of marketing. Previously, Heinemann led global marketing teams at Datasaur, Ably, Big Health, and Cockroach Labs.

Michael Derrig ’04, ’13 MBA has been appointed vice president, chief underwriter for the Individual Life Division for Symetra Life Insurance Company. Prior to this role, Derrig served as director and chief underwriter at Equitable.
