D. Matthew Olsen ’00 MBA was named chief Underwriting officer, surety, at Sompo International.

Benjamin B. Levy ’09 has joined Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.  Dr. Levy is a sports medicine and general orthopedic physician who was a team physician fellow for NCAA Division 1 sports programs at the University of Connecticut and Quinnipiac University.

Rebecca F. Stath ’07 MSA has been promoted to vice president of accounting & principal accounting officer by the Kaman Corporation.  Ms. Stath began her career at KPMG before joining Kaman Corporation in 2011.  She is a graduate of the Kaman Leadership Development Program.

Lisa A. Barry ’07 MSA has been promoted to vice president of financial planning & analysis by the Kaman Corporation.  Ms. Barry started her career at Hamilton Sundstrand and progressed her career at United Technologies, before joining Kaman in 2015.

Medina K. Jett ’08 EMBA has won the 2020 Women in Business Award from the Hartford Business Journal.  Ms. Jett was selected because of the significant difference she is making within her organization and the community.  She demonstrates business savvy, confidence in both herself and her organization, as well as a strong track record of professional success. Currently, Ms. Jett is the Founder & CEO of Integrated Compliance Solutions Group LLC, the world’s only black woman-owned compliance company.  Her company works to break down the intricacies of securities regulations to help companies put compliance rules and procedures in place.

Kate M. Mackay ’08 MBA has been named Chief Marketing Officer at Newport, Rhode Island-based Connected Boat leader, Siren Marine.  In her role, Ms. Mackay will direct and oversee all marketing activities for Siren Marine.  Prior to joining Siren Marine, she worked at Hasbro, Inc. where she managed in Brand Management and Digital Marketing.

Peter Vaughn ’05 MBA has been promoted by Third Coast Underwriters to Director, Insurance Operations.  Mr. Vaughn will be based at 3CU’s headquarters in Chicago and brings 22 years of complex claim management, product development and multiline underwriting experience.

Erik Kleinbeck ’07 EMBA has joined Third Avenue Management LLC, a New York-based registered investment adviser, as Head of Business Development.  In this capacity, Mr. Kleinbeck will lead Third Avenue’s institutional and intermediary sales, consultant relations, and marketing and client relationship functions.

Josephine Baah ’01, ’11 MBA has joined the Board of Directors with Journey Home, a nonprofit organization that seeks to provide innovative solutions to homelessness.  Ms. Baah is the Chief Executive Officer of Blissful Royal Creations, an event planning and design boutique based in Windsor, CT.
