Maryann N. Haverstock ’04 MBA

MaryAnn N. Haverstock ’04 MBA has joined The Gunnery faculty as Director of the IDEAS Lab. Ms. Haverstock brings to the school’s robust STEM curriculum – which is offered in a hands-on lab environment – more than two decades of engineering experience. In her new role she is responsible for both teaching courses and managing the Innovation, Design, Engineering, and Applied Scholarship Lab.




Jennifer S. Collier ’02

Jennifer S. Collier ’02 MBA has been named Senior Vice President of Stop-Loss & Health at Sun Life, the largest independent stop-loss insurance provider in the country. As a registered nurse and MBA, Ms. Collier brings both clinical and business management expertise to risk and cost management strategies for Sun Life’s self-funded employer clients. Ms. Collier joins Sun Life from Cigna, where most recently she was chief operating officer of its middle market operations.


Shawn M. Bowman ’02

Shawn M. Bowman ’02 has been appointed to the position of President, Wound Care Division at Sanara MedTech Inc..  Mr. Bowman previously served as the Company’s Vice President and General Manager, Wound Care, since September 2018.  He has eighteen years of key experience in the medical device, biologics and pharmaceutical industries.


Alexander Hanna ’03

Alexander Hanna ’03 is the new Assistant Principal of Cloonan Middle School in Stamford, CT.  Mr. Hanna has served as Cloonan’s administrative intern for the past four years.  Prior to becoming Cloonan’s administrative intern, Mr. Hanna worked in the district for eight years as a math teacher, math support specialist, and athletic coach at the middle and high school levels.


Kristina Allen Reliford ’07

Kristina Allen Reliford ’07 has joined Bradley Arant Boult Cummings as an associate in the Litigation Practice Group in Nashville, Tennessee.  Her practice includes complex contract disputes, fraud, trade secret misappropriation, and securities and government investigation matters.  Prior to joining Bradley, Ms. Reliford was a senior associate at Kelley Drye & Warran LLP in New York


Joseph R. Sowin ’02

Joseph R. Sowin ’02  has been named co-chief investment officer (CIO) of Highland Capital Management, LP.  In this role, Mr. Sowin oversees investment activities for the firm’s multibillion dollar alternative investment platform with a focus on driving information flow across investment teams and with the firm’s counterparties.  Mr. Sowin joined the firm in 2010, after holding various trading positions at New York and Connecticut-based hedge funds.


Julie A. Peck ’07 MBA

Julie A. Peck ’07 has been named Exiger’s Chief Operating Officer. Exiger is a leader in the provision of technology-enabled, regulatory, financial crime, risk, and compliance solutions. Ms. Peck will introduce a new layer of operational rigor to drive the highest levels of excellence as Exiger scales to fulfill its clients’ growing appetite for technology-enabled, sustainable compliance solutions. She has spent her distinguished career creating value at scale for rapidly growing technology-enabled businesses.


Bryan P. Hurlburt ’02

Bryan P. Hurlburt ’02 was nominated by Governor Ned Lamont to serve as Commissioner of the Department of Agriculture.  Mr. Hurlburt is currently executive director of the Connecticut Farm Bureau Association, the state’s largest and oldest agricultural organization.  In this role, he advocates on behalf of its members to promote policies that enhance the economic viability of agriculture in the state, a responsibility Governor Lamont says he would like Mr. Hurlburt to continue doing in this new role.
