Trevor Tomko will earn both his Master of Business Administration in Finance and his Master of Science in Business Analytics and Project Management from the University of Connecticut’s School of Business in May.
In addition to his rigorous academic schedule, Trevor has continued to work full-time for Travelers Insurance in the Hartford claims department offices. He has provided the company with better analytics and improved information delivery. Additionally, Trevor has consulted with several of the company’s nationwide centers on how to improve their performance in various lines of business.
Through Travelers, Trevor has spent time volunteering for local organizations, including Hands On Hartford. He recently completed the Hartford-based Leaders On Board program, which operates in conjunction with the Leadership of Greater Hartford and the Hartford Foundation of Public Giving. After graduation, Trevor will be looking for a volunteer position on a board of directors for a Connecticut-based non-profit organization.
During his final year of studies, Trevor has been working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for multiple professors in a number of diverse courses within the Business Analytics and Project Management program. He assisted professors with course work, grading, and lectures. He also helped students with their projects and presentations as they progressed through their graduate courses.
Additionally, Trevor participated in the development of a marketing advertisement campaign for the University of Connecticut. The campaign was designed to attract new students and to generate a greater public awareness of the University of Connecticut, the School of Business, and its wealth of exceptional graduate programs.
