Warren “Butch” Hyatt

Warren “Butch” Hyatt, a graduate of the Public Safety Management Program, was named police chief of Guilford, CT. Hyatt holds a B.S. in Public Safety Administration from Charter Oak State College and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy. Hyatt currently serves as the director of law enforcement services for the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence (CCADV).



Lisa A. Barry ’07 MSA

Lisa A. Barry ’07 MSA has been promoted to vice president of financial planning & analysis by the Kaman Corporation.  Ms. Barry started her career at Hamilton Sundstrand and progressed her career at United Technologies, before joining Kaman in 2015.


Medina K. Jett ’08 EMBA

Medina JettMedina K. Jett ’08 EMBA has won the 2020 Women in Business Award from the Hartford Business Journal.  Ms. Jett was selected because of the significant difference she is making within her organization and the community.  She demonstrates business savvy, confidence in both herself and her organization, as well as a strong track record of professional success. Currently, Ms. Jett is the Founder & CEO of Integrated Compliance Solutions Group LLC, the world’s only black woman-owned compliance company.  Her company works to break down the intricacies of securities regulations to help companies put compliance rules and procedures in place.


Rodney A. Butler ’99 

Rodney A. Butler ’99 is the Chairman and CEO of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation.  Mr. Butler was named one of the Hartford Business Journal’s Power 50.  The HBJ Power 50 recognizes professionals that must not only be in a position of power, but they also need to wield it in such a way that has a positive impact on the region’s community and business in Connecticut.


Mark L. Boxer ’84 MBA

Mark L. Boxer ’84 MBA is currently the Executive Vice President of CIGNA.  Mr. Boxer was named one of the Hartford Business Journal’s Power 50.  The HBJ Power 50 recognizes professionals that must not only be in a position of power, but they also need to wield it in such a way that has a positive impact on the region’s community and business in Connecticut.


Lu Huang ‘20 Ph.D

Lu Huang ’20 Ph.D.  successfully defended his dissertation titled, “Essays on the Cross Effects of Marketing Mix.”  Dr. Lu been working as an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the New York Institute of Technology since January 2020.


Sergio A. Grove ‘20 Ph.D.

Sergio A. Grove ’20 Ph.D.  successfully defended his dissertation titled, “A Bilateral Perspective of Acquisition Premiums and Post-Acquisition Performance.”  Dr. Sergio has accepted a position as Assistant Professor of Management at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), beginning Fall 2020.
