Semin Park ’19 Ph.D.

Dr. Semin Park ’19 Ph.D. has started a new position as assistant professor of Management and Organization at Penn State University’s Smeal College of Business. Prior to joining Smeal, Park was an assistant professor of Management and Entrepreneurship at the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business.


Timothy Folta

Timothy Folta, professor of Management and Entrepreneurship at the UConn School of Business, was appointed to lead a committee of the National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs within the U.S. Department of Energy.


Misal Panchal

MBA student Misal Panchal recently graduated from the Connecticut Society of CPAs (CTCPA) 2024 Connecticut Professionals’ Leadership Academy, a program designed to strengthen leadership skills, develop and build relationships, and create a collaborative professional services community. Panchal is currently a CPA for the Connecticut Insurance Department.

Lawrence P. Ward ’92

Lawrence P. Ward ’92 was appointed president of the University of Hartford effective July 1, 2024. Prior to joining UHart, Ward served as vice president of learner success and dean of campus life at Babson College in Wellesley, MA. 


Mitch Zalko ’07

Mitch Zalko ’07 has been named vice president and chief financial officer at IBM Japan. During his 17 years with IBM, Zalko held numerous positions including director of finance and controller.
