Trent Krupa ’22 has successfully defended his Ph.D. dissertation titled “How do Firms Assess the Costs of Tax Aggressiveness? Evidence from Mandated Enterprise Risk Assessments.”  

Sule Nur Kutlu ‘21 Ph.D.  Please join us in congratulating Sule, OPIM doctoral student, who successfully defended her dissertation titled, “Essays on the Design of Digital Platforms.” Dr. Kutlu has accepted a tenure-track Assistant Professor position at the University of Calgary, to begin Fall 2021. 

Tricia L Creta ‘20 MBA has been named chief compliance officer at Amulet Capital Partners, a middle-market private equity investment firm focused exclusively on the healthcare sector. Creta joined Amulet in 2015 as the director of finance and operations.

Current MBA student Michael Sanzo was named a member of the Hartford Business Journal’s 40 under Forty Class of 2020. Sanzo is the sales & marketing manager of Imperial Oil and Plumbing and serves as the president of the South Windsor Chamber of Commerce. Sanzo is also the founder and chairman of the Connecticut Energy Marketers Association Next Generation Leadership Council.

Lu Huang ’20 Ph.D.  successfully defended his dissertation titled, “Essays on the Cross Effects of Marketing Mix.”  Dr. Lu been working as an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the New York Institute of Technology since January 2020.

Sergio A. Grove ’20 Ph.D.  successfully defended his dissertation titled, “A Bilateral Perspective of Acquisition Premiums and Post-Acquisition Performance.”  Dr. Sergio has accepted a position as Assistant Professor of Management at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), beginning Fall 2020.

Abdullatif (Latif) Alrashdan ’20 Ph.D. successfully defended his dissertation titled, “Three Essays on Alliance Management and Instability.” Dr. Latif has accepted a position as Assistant Professor of Management at Kuwait University for Fall 2020.
