Carol Tusch ’91 MBA has been appointed vice president of investments for International Paper, overseeing the company’s pension plan, savings, and other plan assets. Tusch has been with International Paper since 1999 and has served as director of trust investments before being appointed to her most recent role of deputy CIO.

Mike Zacchea ’12 MBA, founder of UConn’s Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans (EBV), was inducted into the Connecticut Veterans Hall of Fame Class of 2022 posthumously. Zacchea, a decorated veteran of the U.S.Marine Corps, founded the EBV program in 2009. EBV offers cutting-edge, experiential training in entrepreneurship and small business management to post-9/11 veterans with disabilities resulting from their service to our country.

Paul Martino ’82, co-founder and chief strategy officer of VillageMD, was appointed to the newly created Health Testing Advisory Board at ixlayer, a platform for health testing. The ixlayer advisory board is made up of industry leaders and experts who serve as thought partners and strategists to further the movement of making health testing more accessible and affordable.
