Erik Kleinbeck ’07 EMBA has joined Third Avenue Management LLC, a New York-based registered investment adviser, as Head of Business Development. In this capacity, Mr. Kleinbeck will lead Third Avenue’s institutional and intermediary sales, consultant relations, and marketing and client relationship functions.
Michael Fedele ’10 MBA has been selected as an award recipient by the Sports Business Journal to its 40 Under 40 Class. The 40 Under 40 awards is an annual celebration of the best young talent in sports business and celebrates the hard work, accomplishments and aspirations of talented young professionals. Forty winners are chosen annually from nearly 500 submissions.
Josephine Baah ’01, ’11 MBA has joined the Board of Directors with Journey Home, a nonprofit organization that seeks to provide innovative solutions to homelessness. Ms. Baah is the Chief Executive Officer of Blissful Royal Creations, an event planning and design boutique based in Windsor, CT.
Ilona Gooley ’11 has been named one of “Women to Watch” by CTCPA Women, an award program celebrating Connecticut’s exceptional CPAs. The award was presented at the CTCPA Women’s Awards Breakfast. Ms. Gooley is an accountant with the Blum Shapiro Foundation, Inc.
Katherine A. Donovan ’09 has been named one of “Women to Watch” by CTCPA Women, an award program celebrating Connecticut’s exceptional CPAs. The award was presented at the CTCPA Women’s Awards Breakfast. Ms. Donovan is an Assurance Manager at Whittlesey.
Mary S. Connolly ’11 has been named one of “Women to Watch” by CTCPA Women, an award program celebrating Connecticut’s exceptional CPAs. The award was presented at the CTCPA Women’s Awards Breakfast. Ms. Connolly is an auditor at Deloitte, LLP.
Susan A. Martinelli ’01 MSA has been named for her distinguished service by CTCPA Women, an award program celebrating Connecticut’s exceptional CPAs. The award was presented at the CTCPA Women’s Awards Breakfast. Ms. Martinelli is the Office Managing Partner and Assurance Partner at RSM US LLP.
Marcia L. Marien ’84 has been named for her distinguished service by CTCPA Women, an award program celebrating Connecticut’s exceptional CPAs. The award was presented at the CTCPA Women’s Awards Breakfast. Ms. Marien is the Finance Director Controller for the Town of Brookfield.
Mary R. Gilhuly ’91 has been named for her distinguished service by CTCPA Women, an award program celebrating Connecticut’s exceptional CPAs. The award was presented at the CTCPA Women’s Awards Breakfast. Ms. Gilhuly is the EVP and CFO of Community Mental Health Affiliates, Inc.
John Toscano ’91 has been appointed as a partner with Blum Shapiro, the largest regional business advisory firm based in New England. As a partner, he will be participating in the leadership of Blum’s Education Practice.
