Julia Winer ’16 MBA

Julia Winer ‘16 MBA has been selected to serve as the  Chief Financial and Operations Officer for the Watkinson School, a co-ed independent school for grades 6-12.  Ms. Winer will work closely with Head of School Teri Schrader, who taught Winer when she attended the Francis W. Parker Charter School.


Oriana D. Freidenberg ’16 MBA

FreidenbergOriana D. Freidenberg ’16 MBA has been named by Transamerica to a new position as Head of Customer Experience and Marketing for the company’s Individual Solutions division, which provides life insurance and annuities to customers throughout the U.S.  Ms. Freidenberg will direct Transamerica’s vision for the customer journey and an enhanced customer-centric experience.


Ilona Bastiaansen ’23 Ph.D.

Ilona BastiaansenIlona Bastiaansen ’23 Ph.D. has successfully defended her dissertation titled, “Bankruptcy Spillovers in Firm Payout Policy”. Bastiaansen has accepted a position as an assistant professor at the University of Notre Dame.


Paul Zikmund ’98 MBA

Paul ZikmundPaul Zikmund ’98 MBA has received the prestigious Certificate in Risk Governance by the Directors and Chief Risk Officers (DCRO) Institute. Zikmund currently serves as the chief enterprise risk, compliance, and information officer for Berkadia, a joint venture between Berkshire Hathaway and Jeffries Financial Group.


Ben Arsenault ’22 MBA

Ben ArsenaultBen Arsenault ’22 MBA has been appointed deputy commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). Arsenault is one of the youngest deputy commissioners within the state of Connecticut.


Khaled Al-Labadi ’17 MBA

Khaled Al-LabadiKhaled Al-Labadi ’17 MBA has been appointed vice president of product line management at Sundyne, one of the few companies that design & manufacture both pumps and compressors. Previously, Al-Labadi served as director of product marketing for Cognex Corporation.



Dennis Nash ’04 MBA

Dennis NashDennis Nash ’04 MBA has been selected Business Person of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration. Nash is president and CEO of Control Station, a company recognized as a leader in process analytics and optimization.



Jean Swift ’89

Jean SwiftJean Swift ’89 was featured by WSHU for Women’s History Month for her leadership efforts within her indigenous community. Swift is a member of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation where she was appointed to the Department of the Treasury Tribal Advisory Committee and also serves as chief financial officer.
