James M. Mahoney ’79

James M. Mahoney ’79 has been elected the new CPA and managing partner of Mahoney Sabol & Company, LLP, and has been appointed to chairman of the Board of Directors for the Hospital for Special Care in New Britain.  Mr. Mahoney will also serve as vice chair for Center of Special Care, Inc., its parent corporation.


David P. Marks ’69, ‘71 MBA

David P. Marks ’69, ‘71 MBA has joined Conning Holdings Corporation’s Board of Directors as an independent director. Mr. Marks is currently the chief investment officer of insurer CUNA Mutual Group and has over 30 years of experience working in the insurance industry.


Christopher J. Kelleher ’77

Christopher J. Kelleher ’77 was promoted to senior managing director and head of institutional asset management at Newfleet Asset Management. Mr. Kelleher joined the Newfleet in 2012 as managing director and senior portfolio manager. He has over 25 years of investment experience in all bond market sectors including publicly traded and private placements.



Alan J. Cicchetti ’76 MBA

Alan J. Cicchetti ’76 MBA has been appointed as director of agency relations of Lenders Compliance Group and executive director of Brokers Compliance Group after being the deputy commissioner of the Connecticut Banking Department. Mr. Cicchetti will manage the growth of the new risk management firm which is exclusively for mortgage brokers as the executive director of Brokers Compliance Group.


Thomas J. Mango ’79

Thomas J. Mango  ’79 has joined the Commercial Banking team of Simsbury Bank as a commercial relationship manager.  Mr. Mango has over 20 years of experience in commercial banking, both in large and community banks, primarily in Hartford and Litchfield Counties.  Prior to joining Simsbury Bank he was commercial lender and portfolio manager at New England Bank.


Thomas O. Barnes ’78 MBA

Thomas O. Barnes ’78 MBA has been appointed to Our Piece of the Pie, Inc’s Champions Council.  Our Piece of the Pie serves urban youth through mentoring, education and employment programs.  Mr. Barnes is a leader in the organizational and philanthropic direction of several community organizations such as the Bristol Chamber of Commerce, the Connecticut Center for Science and Exploration, the Bushnell and the Children’s Fund.
