Maneetpaul S. Chawla ’15 has created a documentary in which he hopes to educate Americans about Sikhism called “They Call Me Osama.” Mr. Chawla obtained funding for the film through UConn’s IDEA Grant program.
Andrew P. Duxbury ’16 Ph.D.
Andrew P. Duxbury ’16 Ph.D. has successfully defended his dissertation titled, “Repatriating Foreign Earnings to Meet Analysts’ Forecasts.” Dr. Duxbury will be joining faculty at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
Charles V. Clarke ’16 Ph.D.
Charles V. Clarke ’16 Ph.D. has successfully defended his dissertation titled, “The Level, Slope and Curve Factor Model For Stocks.” Dr. Clarke has been hired as an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Gatton School of Business at the University of Kentucky.
John Y. Kim ’87 MBA, ’16 HON
John Y. Kim ’87 MBA, ’16 HON has generously donated $1 million to help local students from Hartford attend UConn School of Business, where he received his MBA in 1987. Mr. Kim is president of New York Life Insurance Co., and former chair of the UConn Foundation Board of Directors.

Christina M. Mastropietro McKirryher ’07 has been honored as Southington’s Teacher of the Year. Ms. Mastropietro McKirryher has been teaching for the past six years and currently teaches first grade at Plantsville Elementary School.
Robert J. Dombi ’77, ’84 MBA
Robert J. Dombi ’77, ’84 MBA is a partner of the private equity and real estate company, Landmark Partners. His company recently agreed to sell a majority stake in its company to a London asset manager for $240 million.
David L. Albrycht ’89 MBA
David L. Albrycht ’89 MBA is the president and CIO of Newfleet Asset Management, which manages $10.9 billion of fixed income assets. His company recently announced the closing of a $356.3 million collateralized loan obligations.
Matthew R. Rossi ’90, ’94 MBA
Matthew R. Rossi ’90, ’94 MBA is the general and managing partner for SJL Capital LLC, a registered investment advisory firm. His company has launched its maiden hedge fund, SJL MarketDNA Hedge Fund LP, with the objective of providing above average returns with low volatility.
