The emphasis of the book is how an organization can apply these principles to improve the performance of an organization and the effectiveness of its leaders. Janet S. Grace ’97 EMBA has been appointed as a chief regulator of the Captive and Alternative Risk division at the Connecticut Insurance Department. A former consultant for Towers Watson, Ms. Grace has more than 20 years of experience in risk identification and coverage analysis. She is also a veteran of the Hartford where she worked for 20 years as a senior account executive.

Raymond E. DiDonna ’84, ’08 EMBA has been named the new chief executive officer of LOGIQ3 Corp. Mr. DiDonna was serving as the senior vice president and chief operating officer of joint venture subsidiary, mL3 Global Life. He has been working closely with LOGIQ3 Corp. in an advisory capacity for the past 18 months and sees the great potential this company has and is ready to lead them through their next phase of growth.



Robert Casey ’05 EMBA

Robert Casey ’05 EMBA is currently the vice president and director of mutual fund compliance at Hartford Funds.  Mr. Casey, his wife Barbara and family moved from Storrs to Malvern, Pennsylvania in conjunction with the recent relocation of the Hartford Funds from Simsbury, Connecticut to Radnor, Pennsylvania.

Gerald D. Starsia ’95 EMBA has been appointed to senior associate dean and chief operating officer at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. Mr. Starsia has worked at the University of Virginia since 2001 and recently was the senior associate dean of administration.



Matthew J. DiGeronimo ’06 EMBA

Matthew J. DiGeronimo ’06 EMBA founded, launched and grew Hawaii’s largest mergers & acquisitions firm, Smith Floyd M&A, in 2010 and has completed over $50 million in business transactions.  Mr. DiGeronimo has also developed a strong public speaking and radio presence and has launched a weekly radio show, “The Smith Floyd Water Cooler” on the Wall Street Network.


James P. Towey, Jr. ’87, ’96 EMBA

James P. Towey, Jr. ’87, ’96 EMBA has been hired at Onset Computer Corporation, Inc. as the new director of engineering. Mr. Towey has a background in product development, engineering R&D, design, manufacturing, and support. Most recently Mr. Towey served as vice president of engineering for Emprix and also spent time at Starent Networks as director of IP multimedia development.
