Wayne F. Patenaude ’82 has been appointed as president and chief executive officer of Cambridge Savings Bank and Cambridge Financial Group, Inc. Mr. Patenaude has held executive positions are several Connecticut and Massachusetts banks as well as serving as a board member of the Concord Carlisle Community Chest and is a leader in the Concord Carlisle Youth Travel Program.

Sean M. O’Connor ’92, ’00 MBA has been appointed to be the director of marketing at Software Marketing Associates. As the director of marketing, Mr. O’Connor will oversee the development of the firm’s marketing strategy. Since 1997, Mr. O’Connor has been working with Software Marketing Associates.
George D. Noewatne, Jr. ’02 MBA
George D. Noewatne, Jr. ’02 MBA has been promoted to director of public works and engineering in Cheshire, Connecticut. Mr. Noewatne has been the deputy director since 2004 and has 13 years of construction and engineering experience.

Paul H. Kauffman ’94 has been appointed as a managing director at Jones Lang LaSalle in its Stamford office. Mr. Kauffman has 28 years of experience in real estate and has been a part of many large commercial lease and sales transactions in Fairfield County and the New York Metro area. Prior to his position at Jones Lang LaSalle, he was an executive vice president with Cushman & Wakefield Inc.

Andrew L. Glassman ’90 has been named vice president of operations finance at CSX Corporation. Prior to his work at CSX, Mr. Glassman had worked as senior director of corporate accounting for US West/Qwest Communication International and as a financial director at AT&T’s consumer division.
Carolyne I. Gatesy ’79 MBA
Carolyne I. Gatesy ’79 MBA has been honored by the Glastonbury Chamber of Commerce as its Businessperson of the Year. Ms. Gatesy is an entrepreneur and has launched and sold several successful tech startups and now operates Main Street Office Center in downtown Glastonbury.
Alan J. Cicchetti ’76 MBA
Alan J. Cicchetti ’76 MBA has been appointed as director of agency relations of Lenders Compliance Group and executive director of Brokers Compliance Group after being the deputy commissioner of the Connecticut Banking Department. Mr. Cicchetti will manage the growth of the new risk management firm which is exclusively for mortgage brokers as the executive director of Brokers Compliance Group.

The Honorable Antonietta Boucher ’02 MBA has been named chief deputy minority leader for the Republican Caucus. Senator Boucher also serves as a member of the Finance, Revenue, and Bonding Committee as well as serve as a ranking member of the Transportation, Higher Education and Education committees.
James P. Towey, Jr. ’87, ’96 EMBA
James P. Towey, Jr. ’87, ’96 EMBA has been hired at Onset Computer Corporation, Inc. as the new director of engineering. Mr. Towey has a background in product development, engineering R&D, design, manufacturing, and support. Most recently Mr. Towey served as vice president of engineering for Emprix and also spent time at Starent Networks as director of IP multimedia development.
Rick C. Welker ’92 MBA
Rick C. Welker ’92 MBA has been appointed to acting chief financial officer at Beacon Roofing Supply, Inc. Currently Mr. Welker serves as the vice president and chief accounting officer at the company. Prior to joining Beacon in 2004, Mr. Welker held positions such as senior vice president-CFO and secretary of Rue21 and vice president and controller of Bradlees Department Stores.
