Shawn R. Fields ’99 has been selected as the new C.H. Booth library director. Mr. Fields has served as the director at Sacred Heart University’s Ryan-Matura Library in Fairfield, the Huntington Branch Library in Shelton and has also written many books including,An Introduction to Staff Development in Academic Libraries, published in 2009.

Ashley M. Battle ’04 was named Chartiers Valley High School’s girls basketball coach. Ms. Battle has won three national championships at the University of Connecticut and has also played six seasons in the WNBA and six seasons overseas.

Danielle Higgins ’13 PhD successfully defended her dissertation titled Communicating Information Beyond the Tax Footnote: Effective Tax Rate Forecasts in the MD&A. Dr. Higgins will be joining the Faculty at CUNY – Baruch College in the Fall of 2013.
