Ernest A. DiMattia, Jr. ’81 MBA a longtime ALA member, has been honored by The American Library Association (ALA) by the creation of the Ernest A. DiMattia, Jr. Award for Innovation and Service to Community and Profession. The late Mr. DiMattia, Jr. dedicated his career to providing extraordinary library service to the Stamford community and was president of the Ferguson Library from 1976 – 2014.

Donna M. Phelan ’00 MBA has written a new book providing surprising new strategies for women’s retirement planning. The book is entitled, “Women, Money and Prosperity: A Sister’s Perspective on How to Retire Well”. Ms. Phelan states that women need to create stackable income streams to empower retirement security (SISTERS). The book encourages women to start “SISTERS” clubs, a similar concept to book or craft clubs with the purpose of creating a nationwide conversation about women and retirement.

Steven B. Ferrigno ’09 MBA has received the 2014 Tri-County Board of Realtors “Realtor of the Year Award”. Mr. Ferrigno is also going to be the upcoming president of the Board. He has also been recognized in Connecticut Magazine’s “Connecticut Top Real Estate Agents Highest in Service and Overall Satisfaction” for 2011 & 2012.
