Maurice A. Cabral ’78 has joined 5th Street Advisors as an investment advisor representative. Mr. Cabral will help grow the business by acquiring clients for financial planning, insurance and money management. Mr. Cabral has a diverse background in finance including investments, banking and treasury products with over 35 years of experience.

Clyde W. Tinnen ’01 MBA has been named a partner of the international firm, Withers Bergman LLP. Mr. Tinnen will be working with debt and equity financing transactions.

Patricia H. Friar ’80 was inducted into the UConn Honors Program Hall of Fame. Mrs. Friar is retired from GE Capital Consumer Finance after serving as their senior vice president of human relations.
Raymond E. DiDonna ’84, ’08 EMBA
Raymond E. DiDonna ’84, ’08 EMBA has been named the new chief executive officer of LOGIQ3 Corp. Mr. DiDonna was serving as the senior vice president and chief operating officer of joint venture subsidiary, mL3 Global Life. He has been working closely with LOGIQ3 Corp. in an advisory capacity for the past 18 months and sees the great potential this company has and is ready to lead them through their next phase of growth.
David M. Csere ’75
David M. Csere ’75 is the recipient of the 2015 Morgenstern-Clarren Social Justice Employee Prize. Mr. Csere is the chef for Bon Appetit at Wesleyan University. Even though he is noted for his grilled cheese sandwiches, this award is based more so on his interaction with the students. He has worked for Wesleyan for over thirty years.

Robert M. Casey ’05 MBA has joined Cipperman Compliance Services in Wayne, Pennsylvania as managing director. Cipperman provides a variety of compliance and consulting services to investment firms, advisors private equity firms and hedge funds.
John Y. Kim ’87 MBA
John Y. Kim ’87 MBA has been elected president of America’s largest mutual life insurance company, New York Life. Mr. Kim will retain the role of chief investment officer as well as overall responsibility for the investments group and enterprise-wide technology. With Mr. Kim’s promotion to president, the company’s largest business unit, the Insurance and Agency Group, has been added to his current responsibilities.

Jason M. Madrak ’98 has been named vice president for Connecticut at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. Mr. Madrak will have overall responsibility for all of Harvard Pilgrim’s Connecticut business.

Mr. Jurasek joined Crystal Rock in 1995 and has served as their vice president of finance, assistant secretary, controller and director of finance historically.
