While enrolled at UConn and working closely with professors in the MBA program, he created a business plan and strategy that helped him win the seed money to start his company, Half Full Brewery in Stamford.  Mr. Horrigan has been recognized on the “40 Under 40” list that recognizes those who are pursuing their dreams.  Mr. Horrigan has said that “UConn’s paw prints are all over his company.”

Donna M. Phelan ’00 MBA has written a new book providing surprising new strategies for women’s retirement planning. The book is entitled, “Women, Money and Prosperity: A Sister’s Perspective on How to Retire Well”. Ms. Phelan states that women need to create stackable income streams to empower retirement security (SISTERS). The book encourages women to start “SISTERS” clubs, a similar concept to book or craft clubs with the purpose of creating a nationwide conversation about women and retirement.

Arman ’99 MBA has joined Procida Funding as chief financial officer.  Mr. Arman will oversee all accounting responsibilities such as tax compliance, treasury, reporting and loan servicing along with serving as a conduit between leaders, participants and con-investment partners. Mr. Arman brings to Procida Funding over twenty years of experience.

Meo ’10 MBA has been promoted to national sales manager of Koma Precision, Inc.  Mr. Meo has been with Koma Precision, Inc. for seven years and his knowledge and abilities will contribute to continuing their growth and expansion.  Prior to joining the company, Mr. Meo worked as a financial analyst at Ipreo in New York.

Steven B. Ferrigno ’09 MBA has received the 2014 Tri-County Board of Realtors “Realtor of the Year Award”. Mr. Ferrigno is also going to be the upcoming president of the Board. He has also been recognized in Connecticut Magazine’s “Connecticut Top Real Estate Agents Highest in Service and Overall Satisfaction” for 2011 & 2012.
