Donna M. Phelan ’00 MBA has written a new book providing surprising new strategies for women’s retirement planning. The book is entitled, “Women, Money and Prosperity: A Sister’s Perspective on How to Retire Well”. Ms. Phelan states that women need to create stackable income streams to empower retirement security (SISTERS). The book encourages women to start “SISTERS” clubs, a similar concept to book or craft clubs with the purpose of creating a nationwide conversation about women and retirement.

Thomas ’08 has joined CONRIC PR & Marketing/Publishing as a marketing assistant.  Ms. Thomas is a three-time BIG EAST Academic All-Star and after her playing days were over, Ms. Thomas authored a book titled “Heart of a Husky” and handled the promotion of the publication including all aspects of marketing and advertising herself.

Steven B. Ferrigno ’09 MBA has received the 2014 Tri-County Board of Realtors “Realtor of the Year Award”. Mr. Ferrigno is also going to be the upcoming president of the Board. He has also been recognized in Connecticut Magazine’s “Connecticut Top Real Estate Agents Highest in Service and Overall Satisfaction” for 2011 & 2012.

Ernest M. McNeill Jr. ‘ 86, ’01 MBA has been appointed to senior vice president and chief accounting officer at The Phoenix Cos. Inc.  Mr. McNeill has extensive accounting and finance experience across the financial services industry.  Mr. McNeill most recently served as corporate accounting senior executive at Fidelity Investments.
